August 28, IFIF public relation-Secretary General of the Federation of Iranian Food Associations Kaveh Zargaran at the opening of the Feed and Livestock Exhibition said: “In 2012 the oilseed extraction industry worked only at 8% capacity but these days with the strategy of the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture it reached over 40 percent and efforts have stimulated the growth of oil extraction industry which was once going to shut down.

Federation of Iranian Food Associations reported that Secretary General of the Federation of Iranian Food Associations at the opening ceremony of the second International Meeting and Exhibition of livestock, Poultry and Aquaculture held with the presence of  Deputy Minister of Jihad Agriculture in Business Affairs, Ali Akbar Mehrfard, and Head of Veterinary Organization ,Mehdi Khalaj, appreciated the performance of the Ministry of Agriculture which trust in  the domestic industry and said “over the past two years with the appropriate strategy of the ministry, the trade balance has improved in the animal feed industry and a significant portion of soybean meal was supplied by the domestic industry.

Underlining the success of the livestock and poultry industry in recent years, Zargaran said” I`m glad that in recent years the industry has experienced growing momentum both in production and in exports. Fortunately in 2015 exports in this area was estimated over $ 81 million while this figure in 2005 was about 7.5 million dollars. Regarding to the weight it reached from 37 thousand tons in 2005 to 175 thousand tons last year.

He also admired the growth of this industry and efforts to improve the country's trade balance and said that it is the result of a systematic effort of the industrialists in the field of livestock and poultry.

The Chairman of the Agriculture in Tehran Chamber of Commerce knows different sectors of the industry as the chain rings and praised interaction formed between the private sector and the government, continued: “In the last few years the instruction of the compulsory consumption of factory produced feed was issued and done by the Head of the veterinary and this decision will have a good impact on public health.
